HỘI NGHỊ KHOA HỌC KỸ THUẬT MỎ QUỐC TẾ ĐÃ THÀNH CÔNG TỐT ĐẸP.

Từ ngày 23 - 25/9/2010 tại khách sạn Sài Gòn -Hạ Long, thành phố Hạ Long, tỉnh Quảng Ninh, Hội KH&CN Mỏ Việt Nam đã phối hợp với Tập Đoàn Công nghiệp Than-Khoáng sản Việt Nam-TKV, Hội KH&CN Mỏ Ba Lan, Trường Đại học Mỏ - Địa chất Hà Nội, tổ chức thành công Hội nghị KHKT Mỏ Quốc tế với chủ đề "Công nghiệp mỏ tiên tiến vì sự phát triển bền vững" . Cũng tại đây, Hội nghị thường niên của Ban chấp hành Hội Mỏ thế giới (IOC) lần thứ 91 cũng được Hội KH&CN Mỏ Việt Nam đăng cai tổ chức.

Mục tiêu của Hội nghị là trao đổi những thông tin, những kết quả hoạt động KHCN và quản lý trong lĩnh vực hoạt động mỏ với các nhà khoa học Quốc tế để từ đó học hỏi lẫn nhau những kinh nghiệm, những kiến thức…tăng cường sự hợp tác lẫn nhau nhằm góp phần khuyến khích và thúc đẩy ứng dụng tiến bộ khao học công nghệ đáp ứng mục tiêu phát triển bền vững ngành mỏ Việt Nam trong tương lai.

Hội nghị đã đón tiếp gần 500 đại biểu trong đó có   gần 150 khách quốc tế đến từ gaanf 20 nước trên thế giới và vùng lãnh thổ. Trong hai ngày Hội nghị, các đại biểu đã được nghe 51 bài phát biểu và các báo cáo về những vấn đề chung của lĩnh vực hoạt động mỏ, công nghệ khi thác hầm lò, công nghệ khai thác lộ thiên, các vấn đề về địa kỹ thuật, trắc địa mỏ, công tác an toàn, công nghệ tuyển chế biến và sử dụng than và khoáng sản trên thế giới và ở Việt Nam. Các đại biểu trong và ngoài nước đã trao đổi một cách cởi mở, thân thiện và có chất lượng cao về nhiều vẫn đề liên quan đến hoạt động than và khoáng sản.

Hội nghị cũng đã tổ chức cho các đại biểu nước ngoài đi thăm hai mỏ lộ thiên lớn của Việt Nam là mỏ than Cọc Sáu và mỏ than Hà Tu. Các đại biểu cũng có dịp đi thăm quan vịnh Hạ Long trước khi lên đường về nước.

Đây là lần đầu tiên Hội KH&CN Mỏ Việt Nam đăng cai tổ chức một Hội nghị quốc tế mang tầm cỡ cao về chuyên môn cũng như số lượng đại biểu. Hội nghị đã để lại nhiều cảm xúc tốt đẹp cho các đại biểu quốc tế cũng như các chuyên gia trong nước về phương pháp tổ chức, nội dung của Hội nghị đặc biệt là hai tuyển tập báo cáo Hội nghị bằng tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh bao gồm 108 bài báo cáo khoa học.

Ban tổ chức đã nhận nhiều lời chúc mừng về thành công của Hội nghị, lòng mến khách của nước chủ nhà từ các đại biểu quốc tế sau khi họ về đến đất nước của mình.
